Put the thick battery cable through the ring and connect the thin cables between the gauge and ring sensor. That's all. The ammeter shows you, if you are charging or draining your battery. You will then see which lamp has to be examined. As long as all LED's are illuminated, the navigation lights will all be functioning and give you safe sailing through the night.
